The Purpose of the role
The Department of Economics, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Economics, to commence on 3rd August ****.
The Department invites applications in any field of Economics to add to its existing research strengths.
This is a specific-purpose contract to provide temporary backfill cover during the permanent postholder's career break.
As the postholder is expected to return, the role is not offered on an indefinite basis.
If they do not return, the post will be filled through open competition.

Candidates should demonstrate an established record of high-quality research in Economics, with clear potential for further significant contributions, and show creativity and innovation in curriculum and module design.
