The Piquant Placement Programme is open to full‑time students who want hands‑on experience inside a full‑service creative agency.
Through the programme, you'll get the chance to learn directly from people who know (and love) what they do, contribute to projects that make an impact and be fully immersed in our collaborative studio environment.
This is a chance to explore your interests, ask questions, and get a feel for how creative work happens in the real world.
All placements are unpaid and take place during specific times of the year. Here's what's coming up:
Graphic Design (March 2026)
Who is it for:
Design students who think in movement, shape, and colour. You're passionate about motion, animation, illustration, branding, or all four You'll work with our experienced design and production team across branding, motion, digital, print, and web projects.
Minimum of 3 months beginning March 2026.

Open1 November 2025 - 15 January 2026. Applications outside of this period cannot be considered.

Requirements:
* Current full‑time student of design, visual communications or motion design
* Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
* Interest in typography and design
Responsibilities:
* Assist with ideation and concept development
* Support brand development projects
* Sit in on client presentations and training sessions
You'll work closely with Hugh Heffernan, Head of Brand and Strategy, and the design team. Expect brainstorming sessions, training opportunities, a live in‑studio project, and 1:1 mentorship sessions.
Media Production (May-December 2026)
Who is it for:
Students passionate about lens‑based media, and content creation. This is for visual storytellers who notice details others miss. You enjoy experimenting with photography, videography, and social‑first media that captures attention and imagination.
Minimum of 3 months between May and December 2026 (with potential extension depending on course requirements).

Requirements:
* Current full‑time student of a relevant media or communications course
* Knowledge on Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
* Experience with camera equipment
* Strong interest in visual storytelling
Responsibilities:
* Assist on photography and videography shoots
* Support research and planning for productions
* Contribute to brainstorms and creative ideation
* Help with scripting and scheduling
You'll work closely with Chris Buckley, Head of Media Production, and the media production team. Expect hands‑on experience at live shoots, editing support, strategy sessions, and 1:1 mentorship.
