We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects across all aspects of our business.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in Civils, Drainage, or Utilities (Water & Electricity) who pride themselves on proactive approach to safety culture, compliance, and reporting. If you have excellent communication skills and can effectively manage risk while implementing control measures we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out regular Health & Safety audits on-site identifying non-conformances addressing them with management contractors ensuring site folders statutory records are strictly maintained
2. Deliwere internal health and safety training including manual handling safety inductions toolbox talks identify ongoing training needs for personnel contractors implement companys H&S Environmental policies assist developing risk assessments Safe Systems Work safety programs prepare accident/incident reports maintain H&S Key Performance Indicators drive continuous improvement build strong relationships contractors site management statutory bodies ensure clear lines communication with H&S Manager essential fully clean driver license proven experience Civils Drainage Utilities Water Electricity conducting inspection auditing investigations managing controls relevant industry certifications e.g. NEBOSH IOSH postgraduate degree qualifications optional not required 3rd level qualification Health Science Environment Management certification relevant additional technical knowledge desired
