Installation Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Installation Specialist to join our team. As an Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Your primary duties will include:
* Performing tool installation tasks independently, from initial setup to final testing, with troubleshooting and problem-solving of any possible issues.
* FOLLOWING ALL PROCEDURES RIGIDLY AND ENSURING CORRECT SOPs AND SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO PERFORMING INSTALLATIONS.
* ENSURING SYSTEMS ARE INSTALLED AS PER PROCEDURES SATISFACTORILY THROUGH TESTING OF EQUIPMENT WITH ASSISTANCE FROM SENIOR ENGINEERS, EXISTING DOCUMENTATION AND DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES.
* RESPONDING TO FAB ISSUES BY COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER ENGINEERS AND PARTICIPATING IN ESCALATION CONFERENCE CALLS.
* PARTICIPATING IN CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO REDUCE INSTALLATION CYCLE TIME AND COSTS.
* PROVIDING ACCURATE REPORTING OF STATUS, HOURS WORKED AND NON-CONFORMANCES.
* ADHERING TO THE SAFETY AND SECURITY POLICY AND QUALITY STANDARDS OF THE CLIENT AND ITS CUSTOMERS.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Technician, Bachelor's, or Master' degree in mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar technical background.
* SOME EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE WITH CVD/CMP/EPI TOOLS WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE BUT NOT REQUIRED.
* TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS TO SOLVE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS DURING SYSTEM INSTALLATION.
* ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFICIENTLY THROUGH DAILY PASS-DOWNS AND EQUIPMENT STATUS REPORTS.
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS TO CONTROL INSTALLATION PROJECT WITHIN BUDGET, TIMELINE AND INSTALLATION QUALITY REQUIREMENTS.
* ABILITY TO WORK AUTONOMOUSLY.
* CONFIDENT IN ENGLISH TO WORK WITH COLLEAGUES AND EXPERTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD AND TO READ PLANT DOCUMENTATIONS AND SCHEMATICS.
* GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE MS OFFICE (EXCEL, POWERPOINT).
* The position requires extensive travelling throughout Europe, up to 90%.

Interview Process:
* INTERVIEWS HELD VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS, USUALLY DURING EVENING HOURS AS OUR CLIENT'S HIRING TEAM FOR THIS POSITION ARE BASED IN THEIR USA OFFICE.
* SECOND ROUND INTERVIEW IS FACE TO FACE AND WILL INCLUDE A PRACTICAL MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL HANDS ON ASSESSMENT & COMPETENCY BASED QUESTIONS
Pre-Screening Questions:
* Are you happy to take part in a hands on assessment of your technical ability and competency based interview as part of the interview process?
* Are you happy to take part in a Microsoft Teams interview, potentially during evening hours with our clients USA team?
* Are you eligible to work in Ireland and other European countries with the correct visa and work permit setup?
* Are you comfortable working in a cleanroom environment for the full duration of your day to day duties? (This includes full head to toe garb, cleanroom suit, boots, face mask – please flag if you are any way claustrophobic)
* Have you got accommodation close to Kildare in Ireland for the periods of which you will be working at our clients Irish customer base? (When travelling abroad you will require a base in Ireland which you will have regular access to and may need to maintain and will not be covered under the remuneration package on offer)
* Have you the ability to travel for 90% of the time to customer sites across the European region – France, Italy, Germany, and Ireland and on occasion, further afield? (Travel to Asia or USA required for training purposes, up to 12 weeks)
