HRM is currently recruiting forProject Engineersfor 12-month contract roles. These roles are based across multiple sites in Dublin, focusing on the scoping, design, and installation of process plant and packaging equipment.The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to ensure engineering projects move seamlessly from initial concept through to commissioning and sustaining operations.ResponsibilitiesDesign and Scoping: Provide engineering expertise in the scoping, design, and installation of process plant and packaging equipment. Prepare User Requirement Specifications (URS) and agree on project scopes.Project Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and engineering design consultants during the project design phase.Risk Management: Lead design risk and HAZOP assessments to ensure all installations meet safety and operational standards.Financial Oversight: Prepare budgets and CAPEX requests. Track project spending and schedules from inception to completion.Procurement: Coordinate all project procurement activities in conjunction with the purchasing organization.Construction Management: Safely manage and direct contractors during the construction phase, providing engineering support for both new and existing installations.Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning and ramp-up phases, ensuring a smooth development and handover of engineering controls to operations.ExperienceEducation: Minimum of a degree qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.Professional Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in project management is required.Environment: Direct experience working within a live production and chemical environment is essential.Interpersonal and Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and keep a clear head under pressure.Communication: Ability to prepare and present professional project proposals to the management team.Technical Proficiency: Logical problem-solving skills and solution development.
