A key role has become available for a Cyber Security Operations Manager to take ownership of the Irish security operations function. This is a great opportunity to lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts and investigators in delivering high-quality service delivery while driving operational maturity across a large international service model.
About the Role
This role will focus on leading a technical investigations team, improving incident response capability, and driving operational maturity across a large international service model. As the key point of contact for senior stakeholders, you will ensure high-quality delivery while developing team capability and shaping ongoing security improvements. The organisation works with some household-name technology clients, and while not publicly disclosed, the structure will feel familiar to anyone who has worked with large-scale managed service providers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts and investigators
- Manage day-to-day SOC and incident response activity
- Drive improvements across processes, tooling and service delivery
- Own escalation paths and stakeholder communication
- Ensure SLAs and client security expectations are met
- Support major incident handling and forensic investigations
- Oversee scheduling, performance management and capability development
- Contribute to global alignment projects and service upgrades
Requirements
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 7+ years in cybersecurity operations or similar technical roles, including 4+ years hands-on incident response/investigations experience. A strong understanding of ISO 27001/NIST frameworks and experience with SIEM/SOAR/EDR tooling is also essential. In addition, solid networking and infrastructure knowledge, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
