About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Service Manager for our site in Rochestown, Cork. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial viability of the service, managing daily operations, and maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
Responsibilities:
* Operational Management: Efficiently manage registrations, admissions, and maintain compliance with regulations and guidelines.
* Develop, deliver, and manage daily operations to ensure a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
* Curriculum and Practice: Implement and develop a high-quality child-centric curriculum in line with Aistear and Síolta, fostering equality and diversity.
* Act as the Designated Child Protection Liaison Person, ensuring staff understand their roles in child protection.
* Build relationships with parents, maintain effective communication, and organize meetings and events.
* Promote and market the services, conduct viewings and inquiries.
* In charge of overall staff management, including recruitment, training, performance, and rotas ensuring Tusla regulation compliance.
* Implement all company policies, procedures, health and safety/risk assessment as stipulated in the Childcare Regulations.
Requirements:
* A minimum of FETAC/QQI level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
* QQI level 7 or 8 would be desirable but not essential.
* Relevant and proven experience record managing a Full Day Care service.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Passion for the needs and development of the individual child.
* Excellent organizational and planning skills.
* Ability to manage and supervise a team while supporting continuous professional development.
* Familiarity with Tusla guidelines.
