Kildare Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager to support the planning, delivery, and commercial management of renewable energy infrastructure projects.
This includes grid infrastructure, battery storage systems, and emerging grid-supporting technologies.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of a strategic grid plan to enable timely and efficient connection of diverse energy projects to the electricity transmission grid—unlocking commercial value and long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Delivery Support end-to-end delivery of renewable energy infrastructure including grid, civil works, and technology components Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and risk registers Prepare execution plans, status reports, and progress dashboards Manage interfaces between development, technical, and construction teams Commercial & Financial Management Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and commercial models Support procurement activities including RFPs, tender evaluations, and contract management Track supplier performance and commercial risks Conduct cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure upgrades and technology adoption Infrastructure & Technology Focus Support delivery of grid connection infrastructure (substations, cabling, civil works)Liaise with grid operators and technical consultants (e.g., ESB Networks, Eir Grid)Evaluate and implement digital technologies for project optimisation Contribute to sustainability initiatives including smart grid integration and battery storage Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams including Engineering, Finance, Legal, Development, and ITMaintain communication with contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies Prepare management reports and stakeholder presentations Governance & Compliance Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards Maintain accurate project documentation and support governance processes Participate in performance management to achieve team and individual objectives Qualifications & Experience Third-level degree (minimum 2:1) in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field1–3 years' experience in project coordination, infrastructure delivery, or commercial support (preferably in renewable energy, utilities, or construction)Skills & Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word); experience with data analysis or visualisation tools is a plus Exposure to energy infrastructure (e.g., substations, grid connections, battery storage) desirable Interest in energy technology, digital systems, and data management tools Familiarity with project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) beneficial A competitive benefits package is on offer as is hybrid working.
