Senior Maintenance Technician
This position requires a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team in County Kildare. This is an advanced technical role that demands subject matter expertise on asset management and maintenance procedures.
The ideal candidate will support the maintenance technicians and apprentices in maintaining equipment uptime, lead by example, and contribute to creating a well-coordinated and efficient working environment for all.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Responding to breakdowns and providing support to technicians where necessary.
* Assisting supervisors and managers in monitoring machine reliability.
* Identifying and executing machine/line improvement projects.
* Liaising with production on line improvement projects.
* Assisting with commissioning of new machinery.
* Assisting with training of technicians & operators.
* Assisting with evaluation of existing PM's & modify where necessary.
* Providing on-call support and attending site if necessary.
* Flexibility to support holiday & sickness cover for other shifts.
* Playing a key role in planning & executing machine & fabric repairs in advance of visits & audits.
* Participating and inputting into PM programmes and spare parts projects.
* Engaging with H&S Compliance programme.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of two years' experience as a maintenance technician.
* Demonstrated ability in fault-finding and downtime issue resolution.
* Machine knowledge in core processing equipment – thermoformers, bagging machines, multi-headed weighers, and cooking & freezing assets.
* Experience in mentoring junior staff and having the ability to transfer technical knowledge.
* Experience in managing contractor staff.
