Job Title: Child Development Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a dedicated child development specialist. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments tailored to each child's unique needs, working collaboratively with families and other professionals to develop effective therapeutic plans.
* Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions, individually and in groups, drawing on your expertise in clinical psychology.
* Provide consultation and guidance to carers, teachers, and other allied professionals, promoting collaborative practice and enhancing outcomes for children.
* Contribute to service planning, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that services are responsive to the needs of children and families.
* Participate in supervision, professional development, and clinical meetings, maintaining high standards of documentation, data protection, and clinical governance.
Requirements:
* Hold a doctoral qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology, with placements completed.
* Be eligible for or currently registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
* International graduates must have already completed the validation process via the Health department validation process.
* Have experience working with children and families in community or clinical settings, demonstrating your ability to apply psychological theory in practice.
* Be familiar with various therapeutic approaches and intervention models, showcasing your adaptability and expertise.
* Possess strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills, with a full, clean driving license and access to own transport.
Qualifications:
* Hold a doctoral qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology (or equivalent/Level 9), meeting the requirements for registration with PSI.
* Meet the eligibility criteria for registration with PSI, or be currently registered.
* For international graduates, provide evidence of completed validation process via the Health department validation process.
