Financial Accountant At Osborne, we are currently seeking a Financial Accountant on behalf of a well-established not-for-profit organisation.
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to accurate financial reporting.
You will work closely with the finance team and wider stakeholders, helping to enhance efficiency and maintain strong financial governance.
Location: Dublin 7 (Hybrid options may be considered) Salary:€65,000+ (DOE) Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance Ensure compliance with Charities Act 2009, Charities SORP, and FRS102 accounting standards.
Support month-end and quarter-end financial processes, including ledger reviews, variance analysis, and journal postings.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and oversee accurate income recording.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial statements.
Implement and improve internal financial controls and reporting processes.
Audit & Process Improvement Act as a key liaison for external auditors, preparing and maintaining audit documentation.
Support parish financial audits, reviewing financial records and assisting with queries.
Identify and implement efficiencies in workflows, reporting, and financial systems.
Work with software providers to enhance automation and improve reporting accuracy.
Income & Payroll Management Monitor and reconcile income records, ensuring accuracy across financial systems.
Process and manage monthly stipend payments for over 400 individuals.
Support payroll operations for employees, working closely with outsourced providers.
Ensure compliance with payroll, pensions, and benefit-in-kind (BIK) regulations.
What Youll Bring: ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent qualification.
35+ years of post-qualification experience in financial reporting, audit, and compliance.
Strong technical expertise in financial accounting, with knowledge of SORP, FRS102, and charity sector regulations.
Experience with financial software (AccountsIQ, Salesforce) and advanced Excel skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team.
