Job Title: Fundraising Assistant Reporting to: Senior Development Manager
Location: Dublin 2 / Hybrid
Hours: 24 hours a week (3 days, to include 1 core office day)
Terms: 12-month contract (option to become permanent, subject to probation)
Annual Leave: 17 days in addition to Irish Bank Holidays Salary: €31,000- €33,000 (Based on experience)

Established in Ireland in 2002, we've partnered with local NGOs to deliver life-changing programmes in maternal health, education, disability, women's empowerment, and emergency relief. Role Purpose
We're seeking an enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our income growth and communications. Working closely with the Senior Development Manager and Administrative Officer, you'll help raise awareness of Ethiopiaid's work, support digital campaigns, and assist with donor engagement and fundraising activities.
This is a varied role ideal for a motivated, creative communicator who is passionate about international development and charity fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Communications
1. Support the creation of engaging fundraising and marketing materials (e.g. Canva, Mailchimp, website, social media).
2. Assist with digital fundraising campaigns and donor communications.
3. Manage donor data and gift processing for appeals.
4. Draft and personalise donor thank-you letters and stewardship messages.
5. Conduct research for grant opportunities and assist in preparing applications and reports.
6. Help develop supporter resources (e.g. church or legacy materials).
7. Provide general administrative support as needed.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
10. Creative thinker with an ability to simplify complex issues.
11. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
12. Fluency in English.
Desirable:
13. Experience with CRM systems (ideally Raiser's Edge).
14. Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, digital tools).
15. Knowledge of digital fundraising and social media marketing.
16. Passion for international development and Ethiopiaid's mission.
17. Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular hours.
