The
Production Manager – Cream
reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for operational management of the intake and separation plant, ensuring adherence to the production plan, maximizing yield, managing costs according to budgets and driving continuous improvement in line with E standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the operational management of the plant, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources (people, capital, equipment and ingredients).
Schedule plant activities to achieve maximum throughput in accordance with the overall production plan and cream delivery requirements.
Promote a culture of safety, compliance, excellence and continuous improvement within the operations teams.
Manage costs, throughput and yields, providing weekly yield reporting.
Ensure product safety and legislative compliance to meet relevant specifications.
Implement strategies for capacity enhancement, customer fulfilment and efficiency.
Manage all production-related events in line with the QMS.
Build a culture of employee engagement and change management aligned with the company's values.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
Ensure full compliance with EHS legislation and the Tirlán Risk Management System (TRMS).
Provide leadership and direction to the overall site team and cover operational management duties as required.
Key Requirements
3rd level qualification in Food, Production, Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in a production environment within a processing industry.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Results-driven, customer-focused with high performance capability in a fast-moving, challenging business environment.
Excellent leadership, people-management and communication skills.
Track record of continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing environment.
Effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
