Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer with a proven track record in delivering civil engineering projects of varying sizes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of projects, working closely with the Construction Manager to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organise, plan and deliver civil engineering projects of varying sizes
* Liaise with the Construction Manager on day-to-day project control and coordination of resources
* Manage the workforce, plant and equipment on site to ensure efficient and cost-effective project delivery
* Implement and maintain health and safety requirements on Irish construction sites, promoting a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors
* Assist in reducing carbon emissions through engineering innovation and sustainable practices
* Coordinate the workforce and other resources required to implement the project plan
* Set out and check works as required for the project
* Schedule material requisitions in accordance with the programme
* Provide clear leadership and direction to the workforce while maintaining a professional manner
* Ensure the quality of construction deliverables and create/assess quality standards
* Maintain accurate records, including daily site diaries and allocation sheets
* Take site measurements and formation records
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline
* 2-5 years experience in a civil/construction engineering role
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational abilities
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative project team
* Experience in using digital platform project management and information systems, as well as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar
