Lead Culinary Professional Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Chef to spearhead our kitchen team and take charge of food preparation, presentation, and service.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring consistency in high-quality dishes and maintaining an exceptional dining experience.
* Recruit, train, and develop new and existing staff members to enhance team performance and promote a culture of excellence.
* Develop menus that showcase creativity and utilize local produce, while minimizing waste and optimizing profitability.
* Sourcelocal products and suppliers to guarantee the best ingredients for our menu offerings.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain budgets to ensure the success of our culinary program.
* Regularly review and monitor suppliers to guarantee their quality and reliability.
* Maintain exemplary HACCP standards throughout the kitchen and ensure all staff are trained accordingly.
* Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) already in place.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy 4/5-star hotel or upscale restaurant.
* Menu planning expertise for restaurants and functions, with a focus on creative and appealing dish offerings.
* Excellent financial acumen and a proven track record in achieving excellent gross profit margins and food costs.
* Strong culinary background, with knowledge of industry trends and a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest developments.
* Good leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to lead by example and remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Able to produce extremely high-quality food, with attention to detail and a focus on presentation.
* Possesses a genuine passion for cooking, which is reflected in the menus developed and presented.
* Licensed to work full-time in Ireland without restrictions.
