The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Industrial Electrician
to support the installation, maintenance, and fault-finding of electrical systems across our operational sites.
You will work on production-critical machinery and infrastructure, supporting continuous operations while ensuring the highest safety and compliance standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, and align electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
* Carry out
planned preventative maintenance
and reactive electrical repairs
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise downtime
* Work on
industrial production equipment
, including motors, VSDs, PLC-controlled systems, contactors, and instrumentation
* Support mechanical breakdowns where required and work collaboratively with mechanical teams
* Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards, site procedures, and legislation
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
* Handle materials, components, and tools safely and efficiently
* Work closely with Engineers, Supervisors, and Site Management to improve reliability and performance
* Participate in a
weekend on-call rota
as required
What We're Looking For
* FETAC Level 6
qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Trade
* Minimum
2 years' post-apprenticeship experience
* National Trade Certificate / Trade Card
* Proven experience working on
industrial sites or production environments
* Strong technical knowledge of:
* Motors, contactors, VSDs
* PLC-controlled systems
* Industrial wiring, containment, instrumentation, starters, and temporary installations
* An interest in mechanical systems and the ability to support mechanical breakdowns
* MEWP experience is advantageous (training can be provided)
* Full driving licence and own transport advantageous
* Fluent English
* Flexible and willing to participate in a weekend shift rota
