Site Engineer Position
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Site Engineer on our residential project in Mooretown, North County Dublin.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* We are looking for someone with experience in checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
* Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project will also be a key part of this role.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in setting out using various instruments as chosen by the company.
* Supervising and monitoring subcontractors' work will also be a responsibility of this position.
* Reporting progress of works to Package Manager and highlighting any issues will be essential.
* Providing technical guidance and resolving unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise will be crucial.
* Quality management and BCAR coordination will also be expected from the successful candidate.
* Adhering to planning, health and safety and environmental standards will be necessary.
* Weekly and monthly reporting of data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners will be required.
* Other ad hoc duties may also be assigned to this role.
Requirements:
* A degree qualification in Engineering (Civil/Structural) is required.
* Significant experience as a Site Engineer with either a developer or main contractor is essential.
* Strong setting out experience using equipment such as Total Station and GPS is necessary.
* A full clean manual driver's license is also required.
* The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and to deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
* Strong attention to detail is also necessary.
