Project Management Finance Officer Contract Role, Cork
My Client is looking for an experienced Project Management Finance Officer to join their team.
The Job:
1. Resource/Forecast management: Responsible for the Capacity Management tool, analyzing forecast data to identify gaps and propose solutions.
2. Assist in budget planning, including internal/external valuated hours allocation, SOWs, etc., for Projects/Operations budgets.
3. Drive monthly reconciliation, work with Project Managers to identify deviations, and assist with re-forecasting efforts.
4. Analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs, providing comments on deviations for monthly reporting.
5. Manage budget shifts.
6. Serve as a Finance point of contact for Project Management and Project Office teams, following up on finance issues and questions.
7. Understand the current Finance situation (AS-IS) and propose future (TO BE) solutions.
8. Communicate clearly and confidently on all above items at all organizational levels.
Have you:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel.
* Knowledge of PowerBI or similar tools is a plus.
* Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Capability to work under pressure within a team environment and produce good results.
* Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and report issues/delays.
* Basic familiarity with IT Project Management.
* Experience as a Finance Business Partner to IT is desirable but not essential.
