Category Commercial Expert
The role of Category Commercial Expert involves driving the commercial success of product portfolios by leveraging consumer insights, supplier partnerships, and market trends. You will lead the development and execution of category strategies that align with overall business objectives.
Key responsibilities include negotiating supplier terms, managing cost prices, setting wholesale prices, and recommending retail prices while monitoring margins to ensure both company and customer profitability targets are achieved.
You will build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and customers to support business goals and manage expectations effectively. Overseeing sourcing and successful launches of Own Brand products in collaboration with the product development team is also a crucial aspect of this role.
A deep understanding of the Irish and/or UK grocery market along with strong commercial acumen is essential for this position. Experience in applying category management principles would be considered an advantage.
As a Category Commercial Expert, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency. Excellent analytical skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities are required.

Requirements:
Minimum three years of experience in a senior commercial or buying role within the retail or FMCG sector.
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
