The successful candidate will have proven experience in troubleshooting issues with CMMs in a production environment and will have a strong CNC background. RESPONSIBILITIESContribute and input into Engineering functional strategyProvide support to CMMs when required on production floorChampion operations excellence across the sitePlans and conducts engineering research designPlans and conducts significant engineering and lean initiativesStandardises and optimises best practices and procedures across the networkCo-ordinates with other unit's vendors and senior managers as needed to ensure specific cost, time and regulatory standards are metCommunicates with business partners to resolve process and product issuesEvaluates the results of projects and provides manufacturing guidance and assistance as requiredTechnical leadership of Staff engineers, senior engineers, Engineers, Coop Students, Technicians and operators as requiredChampion lean from an operations engineering perspectivePartner with the CI&A teamAll other duties as assigned. SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDDegree or Masters in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production etc.) or technical experience equivalencyMinimum of 5 years' manufacturing experienceMetrology experience, ideally in Mitutoyo & Zeiss CMMsKnowledge of laser engraving machineRecognised Lean qualification, ideally a black beltProven Project Management skills through the delivery of business-critical projectsProduction process troubleshooting experience requiredDynamic "hands-on" individual prepared to take responsibilityCapable of working as part of a multi-disciplined teamExcellent communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholdersCapable of technically leading a multi-disciplined team in a dynamic, regulated and results motivated environmentDemonstrable Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasksExcellent presentation and written / verbal communication skillsDemonstrable ability to lead significant projects and initiativesA team player, with a flexible approachTechnological expert, willing to source, investigate and implement technological and automation advancesConfident and effective decision maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
