Job Description
The post holder will be responsible for conducting a thorough review of the cleaning schedule and standards within UPMC Kildare Hospital. This will involve developing Quality Improvement Plans in all areas of the hospital to address any shortcomings. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training and ensuring that all staff are fully trained and competent in their areas.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct a thorough audit of the cleaning schedule and standards in UPMC Kildare Hospital.
2. Develop Quality Improvement Plans within all areas of the hospital.
3. Ensure that all staff are fully trained in all areas.
4. Conduct training with staff and sign them off as competent.
Catering Responsibilities
1. Work effectively with the kitchen team to ensure high standards in relation to food preparation, cooking, dispatch, and serving.
2. Ensure correct storage of food and beverages.
3. Ensure cleaning schedules are maintained using recommended detergents, to leave equipment, kitchen, and service areas hygienic at the end of the shift.
4. Minimise waste, improve waste reduction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Hospital or healthcare setting experience.
* Excellent people management and organisational skills.
* Able to motivate and delegate effectively.
* Strong focus on setting and maintaining high standards and cleanliness.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and react appropriately in pressurized situations.
* Good IT skills.
* HACCP trained required.
