Managing Director @ Sharp Group Fire and Security Services | Business Development, Corporate Strategy
As Tender Specialist at Sharp Group, you will play a key role in driving the business development process by identifying, managing, and submitting high-quality tender responses across fire, security, and manned guarding services. You will collaborate closely with commercial, technical, and operational teams to ensure submissions are accurate, compelling, and aligned with client requirements and Sharp Group’s service offering.
Success in this role means delivering timely, compliant, and competitive tenders that contribute directly to new business wins and contract renewals. You will need to combine strong writing and organisational skills with a strategic understanding of our markets, solutions, and brand promise.
This position is essential to Sharp Group’s continued growth, ensuring our value proposition is clearly communicated and consistently presented in every bid. You will help shape how we are perceived by major clients, particularly in critical infrastructure and data centre sectors, making you a vital part of our commercial success.

Responsibilities
* Review and understand the bid approach and contribute to evolving it
* Produce compelling bid material in line with the messaging to the customer
* Discuss an approach to a bid or specific question with the Head of Service and produce the agreed response for review, uplift and sign off in areas such as value propositions, methodologies, delivery approaches etc.
* Write effective, concise and compelling content while working towards multiple deadlines
* Work as a team to get accurate, high-quality information from all bid stakeholders in order to produce a comprehensive and cohesive bid is essential
* Attention to detail and the ability to extract and summarise bid documents
* Manage standalone bids (RFT’S/PQQ’s etc) of varying scales as required from start to finish, which will require excellent managerial skills
* Liaise with the Marketing team on RFT’s / PQQ’s to make sure company details are up to date and accurate.
* A thought leader in terms of the bid process and bid material and continually look to evolve our bid messaging and approaches.
* Scheduling meetings and managing department’s contract and project filing structure
* Coordinating team communications
* Experience of technical and business writing essential within a professional bid environment
* High attention to detail with an excellent writing ability
* Deadline driven with effective time management skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
* Design skills and ability to create compelling bid contributions
* Experience in end-to-end bid management
Qualifications
Experience in tendering or bid management, ideally within the fire, security, or facilities management sectors.
Strong working knowledge of public and private procurement processes in Ireland (including eTenders and other portals).
Proven ability to write and structure persuasive, compliant proposals.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); experience with Adobe Acrobat and bid platforms is a plus.
Familiarity with ISO standards and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. PSA licensing, NSAI, health & safety documentation).
Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
