The Post-Release & Recovery Services Co-ordinator will support prisoners in Cork Prison with addiction, recovery and reintegration into society post-release.

Key Responsibilities are as follows:
Recovery & Support Services:
* Coordinate addiction recovery programs within the prison's Education Unit.
* Facilitate access to counselling and addiction services.
* Mentor and support newly released clients.
Client Engagement & Planning:
* Assess individual risks and needs.
* Develop shared action plans before and after release.
* Support clients in securing housing, education, and employment.
Liaison & Collaboration:
* Work with probation, welfare, and multi-disciplinary team within the prison.
* Engage with community, voluntary, and self-help groups.
* Represent the prison on Cork Local Drug & Alcohol Task Force (CLDATF) meetings.
Administration & Reporting:
* Manage accounts and payments related to post-release services.
* Maintain detailed case records and contact logs.
* Report on client progress and update assessments regularly.
Housing & Benefits Support:
* Help clients access appropriate housing and benefits.
* Liaise with landlords, housing agencies, and support services.
Risk Management:
* Conduct and update risk assessments.
* Respond to changes in client risk levels appropriately.
Personal Development:
* Encourage clients to pursue a pro-social, non-offending lifestyle.
