IT Helpdesk Administrator (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract) Salary: €36k€40k(approx., depending on experience) Location: Dublin 2 A public-sector organisation is seeking an IT Helpdesk Administrator for a 12-month fixed-term contract, employed via agency.
The role sits within the IT team and will work to support the day to day IT support function for their Staff in Ireland and overseas.
Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support across software and IT infrastructure, including end-user devices, i Phones, networks, AV, and security Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, escalating where necessary and following through to resolution Manage and maintain the service desk, ensuring timely ticket resolution and accurate task tracking Support and maintain the Multi-Function Device (MFD) network Track hardware and software assets in line with company procedures Improve service desk efficiency by identifying recurring issues and updating processes and documentation Procure, deploy, and configure hardware, peripherals, and software Support the planning and delivery of IT services Provide drop-in IT support from the IT Hub Engage with and support end users, sharing knowledge and guidance on IT issues Set up and support IT for in-person and virtual meetings, training, and events Manage IT storage areas and coordinate secure IT recycling Essential Qualifications & Experience 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar role Microsoft Windows background is essential Additional requirements: A Third level ICT qualification, to a minimum of level 6 certificate, and relevant business experience is desirable.
