Brief Description:
This position resides in New Product Planning-Partnerships, reporting directly to the Head of New Product Planning-Partnerships. The role involves partnering with Corporate Development, Search & Evaluation, and NPP colleagues to identify and assess the commercial potential and strategic fit of target assets in EUR/INT markets. The individual will work through each step of the deal process, from initiation to signing, ensuring strategic success factors are identified. The candidate must synthesize evidence from multiple sources across European and international geographies to evaluate the potential value of compounds or technologies. Essential Functions
Lead commercial assessments including epidemiology, product positioning, adoption, competitive landscape, pricing, and market access across 7 key EUR/INT markets (UK, DE, FR, ES, IT, JP, and partnered markets) for partnerships, licenses, and acquisitions.
Collaborate with functions such as US/EU Commercial, Search and Evaluation, R&D, Regulatory, and Corporate Development for deal assessments and diligence.
Gather input from EUR/INT and global stakeholders in marketing, medical, pricing/access, regulatory, and regional management to inform business cases.
Maintain internal stakeholder alignment through regular updates to EUR/INT Leadership.
Develop detailed revenue forecasts over 15-20 years and communicate assumptions and scenarios effectively.
Evaluate commercial synergies and strategic fit with the EUR/INT portfolio, including sales force and SG&A considerations.
Prepare executive-level presentations and recommendations for senior management regarding commercial investments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Success requires:
Strong analytical skills, especially in forecasting and modeling.
Experience assessing clinical and commercial asset value in Europe and/or Japan using KOLs, literature, primary research, and reports.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across functions.
Preferred additional experiences:
Leading commercialization planning for near-term or in-line products.
Engaging with customers such as doctors, payers, and patients.
External business development experience.
Experience supporting European or Japanese markets in commercial functions.
Education and Licenses
7+ years in management consulting or industry, or relevant experience.
Bachelor’s in life sciences; MBA preferred.
