For this bid/project we are seeking a Senior Project Manager.Deutsche Bahn’s expertise is in high demand all around the world. About 5,000 employees from 84 nations are currently realizing the projects of our customers with professional knowledge and intercultural experience.Responsibilities:Lead large-scale railway projects focusing onsignalingsystems, electrification upgrades, and tele-communications networks by developing tailored project plans in accordance with client standards, ensuring clear timelines, allocations, and deliverables.Coordinate project activities with a focus on design management and the implementation of modernsignaling, electrification, and telecom technologies, while managing design changes andmaintainingan issues log.Conduct thorough commercial and contract management through regular status meetings withprojectteams and senior management to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.Direct interdisciplinary teams, ensuring SET specialists (engineers, designers, and technicians) collaborate seamlessly with other projects like civil works and track maintenance.Provide technical and contractual support during project rollouts, and monitor project progress in terms of costs, time, and quality, tracking resource consumption and documenting deviations.Develop a Requirements Management Plan to trace scope and objectives through relevant channels, and implement comprehensive Cost Management, including periodic tracking and forecasting of project expenses.Establish robust Document Control methods with a systematic review and approval procedure from project inception.Produce a detailed Interface Management Plan, complete with a matrix identifying all applicable connections for each project, managing specialized resources like signaling engineers, electricians, and telecom experts for timely project delivery.Conduct continual analysis and evaluation of project risks throughout the lifecycle, ensuring sound commercial and contract management, while coordinating with safety managers and quality teams for system testing and certification.Manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating strong skills in prioritization, delegation, and multitasking to ensure timely completion.Minimum 10 years of experience in project and program management, specializing in railway signaling, electrification, and telecom projects.Preferably IRSE licensed (e.g. 7.8.230F Senior Engineering Manager or 1.8.100 Signaling Team Leader)Proven capacity to handle complex, large-scale infrastructure projects within the railway sector.Comprehensive knowledge of SET systems, including signaling technologies, electrification infra-structure, and railway telecom networks.Strong leadership and team management skills to guide specialized SET teams and contractors.Keen focus on deadlines and adherence to budget guidelines.Successful collaboration across various management tiers.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Our offerProfessional Development: We’re strong believers in continual training and development for our people.
