Field Service Technician – Galway (Connaught Region)
We’re looking for a Field Service Technician to join our client’s expanding service team, working with some of Ireland’s leading commercial and industrial clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Electrician or Refrigeration Technician looking for a hands-on, mobile role with excellent benefits and career progression.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for the commissioning, servicing, and breakdown repair of air handling units (AHUs) and gas-fired heating systems across a range of sites including hospitals, universities, factories, retail centres, and pharma environments.
Typical work split:
* 50% commissioning (primarily electrical work)
* 25% breakdown callouts (mostly winter months)
No on-call Rota — Monday to Friday role with occasional Saturday work (paid at enhanced rates).
What’s on Offer:
* Hourly rate (depending on experience)
* Paid from the moment you leave your house until you return home
* Company van, fuel card, toll tag
* Subsistence allowance (€14-28 per day depending on distance and hours worked)
* 1.5x overtime rates (2x for Sundays and extended shifts)
* Quarterly training days in Cork HQ (travel expenses covered)
* Full training provided on gas heating systems if required
What We’re Looking For:
* Fully qualified Electrician or Refrigeration Technician (Level 6 or F-Gas 2078/2079 certified)
* Comfortable with field-based work and travel around the Connaught region
Locations Covered:
Based from Galway, covering Connaught region — occasional travel to Cork for training and induction
