We're VOID Interactive, the kick-ass team behind the best-selling FPS game, Ready or Not. We're made up of some seriously talented individuals who love games and creating awesome content together. We're currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior UI/UX Designer to join us remotely and help take us to the next level. Our goal is strong: to establish Ready or Not as the quintessential FPS of our time.
Role Overview:
As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you'll play a critical role in crafting elegant, functional, and accessible interfaces that enhance gameplay and support player needs. You will collaborate closely with gameplay designers, engineers, artists, and other stakeholders to design and deliver engaging user experiences from concept to final implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and prototype engaging, player-centred interfaces and HUDs for FPS gameplay.
* Build in-engine UI using Unreal Engine's Blueprint visual scripting.
* Create seamless console and gamepad experiences across platforms.
* Develop detailed wireframes, flows, and documentation for systems and features.
* Collaborate closely with game design, art, and engineering teams.
* Stay current with UI/UX trends and contribute to design innovation.
* Mentor and support junior designers, fostering design excellence.
Essential Requirements:
* EU-based (US candidates may be considered).
* 5+ years as a UI/UX Designer in games (
studio-backed titles only
).
* 2+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine.
* 2+ shipped titles, including at least one AAA title credited as UI/UX Designer.
* 1+ shipped FPS project and 1+ console/gamepad-supported title.
* Expertise in UI/UX design principles, best practices, and trends.
* Experience with Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine.
* Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
* Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
Bonus Skills:
* Experience with C++ or scripting languages (JavaScript, Lua, C#, etc.).
* Strong graphic design eye – composition, fonts, and colour.
* Experience with animated materials and motion design.
* A deep passion for FPS and co-op games.
