Full-time Health Care Assistant Required:
Kirby Care Ltd is a Sligo-based home care provider operating in the Sligo area. We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Health Care Assistant in the Ballisodare/Collooney area. We are seeking someone who enjoys interacting with the elderly and assisting them with their daily living activities. Is warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our clients with high quality care and support.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in working with the elderly, in either a paid or voluntary capacity, is desirable for this role.

Responsibilities and duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks
* Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients.
* Observe, monitor and record clients' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
* Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities
* Care Assistant qualifications and skills
* QQ1 Level 5 in Healthcare (Minimum of 2 modules – Care Skills/Care of the Older Person) or in a position to complete these modules
* Clean driving license
* Fluent level of English both written and oral
* Training in safe patient handling and movement desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
* Certification or training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) desirable, but not essential.
* Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
