In this dynamic role, youll take the lead on strategic public affairs and communication efforts related to major energy and building policy developments. Working across departments, youll help shape public dialogue, build stakeholder trust, and support the delivery of a cleaner, more sustainable Ireland. Public Affairs Executive Location: Dublin/Hybrid Salary: €51,511 per annum Contract: 18-month Fixed Term Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement public affairs and communications strategies for national energy initiatives. Lead engagement on policy matters linked to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Coordinate cross-department messaging and stakeholder dialogue. Provide expert advice on reputational risk, policy advocacy, and governance compliance. Support public affairs events and internal project management initiatives. Essential Requirements: A minimum NFQ Level 7 degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, Public Policy, Sustainability or a related discipline. At least three years of direct experience in public affairs, strategic communications, advocacy, or marketing. Proven success in stakeholder engagement and policy communication. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong IT proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. Desirable: Familiarity with Irish public service frameworks and governance.
