Join to apply for the Technology Transfer Engineer role at Cpl5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsThe R&D Team at the Swords Campus is looking to recruit a Technology Transfer Process Engineer to join the R&D Department reporting to the Associate Director, Technology Transfer.Position DescriptionReporting to the Associate Director, Technology Transfer the successful candidate is responsible for the execution of technology transfer activities for new product introductions within R&D. They will be focused on the successful introduction of new products to the Swords site, in line with customer expectations, and the execution of successful manufacturing campaigns up to and including qualification of the new processes.The role ensures seamless scale up from lab/pilot to commercial scale, ensuring process robustness, GMP compliance and repeatable product quality.Key Attributes and SkillsWorking as part of a cross‑functional technology transfer team comprised of process chemists and engineers, the Technology Transfer process engineer should have the following attributes:Core CompetenciesLeadership, excellent communication skills, teamwork, problem solving particularly with external customersStrong project management and organizational skillsCommitment to the SK biotek values, compliance and continuous improvementTechnical KnowledgeAn understanding of technology transfer, API pharmaceutical manufacturing, plant operations and engineering projects is essentialUnderstanding of chemical process engineering (reaction kinetics, mass transfer, scale up, crystallization, isolation, drying)Ability to interpret process data, analytical results and development reportsProficiency with process engineering tools e.g. Dynochem, Computational Fluid Dynamics software is desirableKnowledge of regulatory and safety guidelines is necessaryCollaboration and Problem SolvingAbility to lead cross‑functional teams and drive decisionsEffective communication with customers/stakeholdersAnalytical thinking, problem solving and root cause analysisHigh attention to detail with a strong quality mindsetAdaptability in a fast‑paced CDMO environment with multiple concurrent projectsAbility to work across modalities e.g. small molecules, HPAPI, Peptides etc.RequirementsA minimum of an honours degree in chemical or process engineering or a related discipline2‑4 years’ experience in the bulk pharmaceutical industry with technology transfer experienceExperience transferring processes from lab to pilot or commercial scale and a good working knowledge of relevant cGMP, safety and environmental regulationsOther Benefits IncludeExcellent opportunities for career enhancement and personal developmentAnnual bonus linked to business resultsA well‑established further education program
