About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Design Engineer
to join our dynamic team in Dublin. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, ensuring high-quality mechanical design solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage detailed mechanical designs, with a focus on
HVAC systems
, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
* Prepare specifications for
piping systems
, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
* Design and specify
cooling systems
for various applications, optimizing performance and energy efficiency.
* Oversee the design and specification of
mechanical services
, including but not limited to ventilation, heating, and plumbing systems.
* Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and contractors, to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Conduct site visits to review installations and ensure compliance with design specifications.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to implement best practices in design.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Up to 10 years of experience
in mechanical design engineering, with a strong focus on building services.
* Demonstrated expertise in
HVAC system design
and operation.
* Strong knowledge of
piping systems
and materials specification.
* Experience designing and specifying
cooling systems
, including chillers, heat exchangers, and other associated equipment.
* Proficiency in specifying
mechanical services
for diverse applications.
* Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
* Solid understanding of relevant industry standards and building codes.
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
