Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the returns process for rental vehicles at Dublin Airport, including both Eastlands and terminal locations.
- Manage a team of returns agents, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.
- Ensure that all returns are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor vehicle inspections for damage and cleanliness, coordinating with rental agents and maintenance staff as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to returns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records of returns activity, including rental agreements, vehicle condition reports, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as rental operations and customer service, to optimize overall workflow and service delivery.
- Implement strategies to improve returns processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.
- Uphold safety standards and regulations in the returns area, ensuring a secure and hazard-free environment for employees and customers.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Your Skills:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the car rental industry or related field.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset to address challenges effectively.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Knowledge of car rental operations and familiarity with Dublin Airport facilities is a plus.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Responsible for own health and safety and that of other work colleagues.

At the end of the 19th century, the car was a luxury reserved for the elite, but interested everyone, attracting crowds: in 1898, the first car show was held in Paris.
Car rental will see the light a few years later, across the Atlantic, but its development will be stopped by the first and then by the Second World Wars.
In the aftermath of the war, a Parisian entrepreneur revived the idea: "If you can't afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?". His name was Raoul-Louis Mattei and in 1949, he created "L'Abonnement Automobile": a company that would later become the Compagnie Internationale Europcars, then Europcar. Its headquarters, located 11 rue du Champ de Mars also included a rental agency. The company's success was rapid, as car rental responded to a real need.
In 1951, l'Abonnement Automobile was the first company for car rental without a driver and its fleet counted 750 4 CV. Now, the Europcar Mobility Group has over 200,000 vehicles on average in its fleet and serves 5 million customers in more than 140 countries.
