We are presently recruiting for a BER Assessor for our clients in County Kerry. Working on various projects, you will be required to inspects buildings, collects data, and uses SEAI-approved software to calculate energy performance. You will provide advisory reports, recommend efficiency improvements, ensure compliance with regulations, and communicate findings clearly to homeowners. This is a permanent, Full – time position based in County Kerry.
Job Specification
1. Conduct Building Energy Rating (BER) assessments in line with SEAI standards and building regulations.
2. Carry out detailed on-site surveys of residential and commercial properties.
3. Collect, verify, and input data into approved BER software tools.
4. Analyse construction details, insulation, heating, ventilation, and renewable systems.
5. Provide accurate BER certificates and advisory reports to clients.
6. Recommend cost-effective measures to improve energy efficiency.
7. Ensure compliance, accuracy, and integrity in all assessments.
8. Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for quality audits.
9. Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and homeowners.
10. Keep updated on building regulations, energy standards, and SEAI guidelines.
11. Participate in CPD and training to retain accreditation.
Qualifications & Skills
12. SEAI-registered BER Assessor accreditation (domestic/non-domestic).
13. Relevant qualification in engineering, architecture, surveying, or construction.
14. Strong knowledge of building construction and energy systems.
15. Proficient in IT and BER software tools.
16. Full clean, driving licence.
