Scheme Project Manager
6-month contract
We are seeking a Scheme Project Manager to support project leadership in the management, coordination, and setup of a major transport infrastructure initiative.
This role will contribute across key project phases, including planning, regulatory approvals, and subsequent preparatory activities.
The successful candidate will support structured governance, stakeholder coordination, and overall project readiness as the programme progresses through critical milestones.
The position will also play a role during the tendering and procurement stages, helping to ensure continuity and a smooth transition into the delivery and site execution phases.

A strong project coordinator
Design management, multi-disciplinary coordination
Resource planning and management
Risk management
Project proposal and scoping
Schedule creation and management
Client liaison and stakeholder engagement
Cross workstream interface management
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in:
Technical delivery of roads projects and preferably urban schemes
Progress project through planning phase and ACP (Board) approvals
Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) process
Consultation, responses and key decisions to inform design and project delivery
Co-ordinating Environmental and Traffic inputs (EIA and TIA)
Desirable Skills:
Strong team leadership skills with an ability to influence to drive effective decision making
Ability to deal with and resolve unforeseen risks and issues
Demonstrate competency in prioritising effectively, meet deadlines and deliver consistent service
Proven capability to manage client expectations and deliver within agreed parameters
Aptitude for working in a challenging environment both on their own initiative and as part of a team
