About the Role: An exciting opportunity has opened within an investment team for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented professional to lead fund operations and governance across a range of regulated funds and segregated portfolios.
This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take ownership of critical data and operational processes that support portfolio management, reporting, regulatory oversight, and investment governance.
The successful candidate will act as a senior leader responsible for the operating model and first-line control environment across a large fund platform and segregated mandates within a wealth management setting.
The role covers operational integrity, oversight of outsourced providers, incident management, data quality, and the effectiveness of systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities: Lead senior engagement, performance governance, and escalation management across outsourced providers, ensuring strong oversight, service standards, and issue resolution.
Oversee the operational implications of trading activities, including lifecycle exceptions, settlement issues, failed trades, and coordination across relevant stakeholders.
Manage the operational governance of fund-related changes such as launches, share class updates, fee changes, documentation updates, strategy changes, and fund events.
Take ownership of investment-related reporting for governance forums, including incidents, trends, KPIs, and remediation actions.
Develop and maintain a strong first-line governance culture with clear accountability, effective escalation, and continuous improvement in controls and processes.
Implement consistent operational standards and controls across both fund structures and segregated portfolios.
Coordinate with internal teams on the investment data operating model, including sourcing, validation, and exception management.
Contribute to projects focused on data enhancement, system upgrades, and process optimisation.
Requirements: About You *****+ years' experience in fund operations, investment operations, or fund governance within asset management or a related environment.
Strong experience working within delegated operating models and managing multiple external providers.
Comfortable operating at a senior level, with the ability to present clearly, think strategically, and provide constructive challenge.
Strong understanding of investment data, including holdings, transactions, pricing, benchmarks, and corporate actions.
Proven experience managing data issues and working with administrators, custodians, or operational teams.
Experience across both pooled investment vehicles and segregated mandates (or transferable expertise).
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements is advantageous.
High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
