Evolve Graduate Programme – Mechanical Engineer
Ethos Engineering is excited to welcome graduates to our Evolve Graduate Programme. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join our Engineering Studio — a collaborative pool of engineers designed to give you hands-on experience across multiple departments and projects. Through rotations across groups, you will broaden your technical expertise, gain exposure to multidisciplinary building services, and be supported by both a mentor and a buddy.
Over an 18-month structured journey, you will complete technical, professional, and leadership training modules while contributing to live client projects. This programme is designed to accelerate your development and set you on a clear path toward professional chartership and a rewarding career in building services.

Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong academic performance in relevant mechanical engineering coursework.
* Must be based in Ireland and able to attend our Dublin office at least three (3) days per week under our hybrid model.
* Previous placement, internship, or project experience in building services is beneficial but not required.
Candidate Attributes
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit MEP (exposure to BIM modelling is advantageous).
* Knowledge of HVAC system design, thermal load calculations, and fluid dynamics.
* Awareness of CIBSE, ASHRAE, and Irish building regulations.
* Interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and low-carbon design.
* Proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Eagerness to learn, adapt, and embrace new technologies and engineering tools.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with senior engineers to design and analyse mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
* Rotate across groups within the Engineering Studio to gain multidisciplinary project exposure.
* Develop expertise in mechanical engineering principles and apply them to real-world challenges.
* Prepare detailed technical drawings, reports, and project documentation.
* Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, and EN standards.
* Gain field exposure through site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting activities.
* Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient building services solutions.
Key Activities
* Engage in the design and analysis of mechanical systems for building projects.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across diverse projects.
* Conduct technical research to support engineering decision-making.
* Attend structured training sessions, workshops, and CPDs.
* Participate in project meetings and client interactions.
* Visit project sites to gain practical exposure to inspections, installations, and commissioning.
* Contribute to sustainable, energy-efficient mechanical solutions.
