Duties and Responsibilities
Below duties & responsibilities will need to be closely aligned with those duties and responsibilities of HR Manager colleagues.
Business Partnering
1. Manage and provide the full suite of HR services across the business, partnering with the Management & Leadership team within your area of responsibility.
2. Collaborate with Managers within your scope, providing advice and consultancy on all aspects of HR.
3. Partner with the business to ensure full alignment on business needs and HR initiatives in line with strategic objectives.
4. Provide guidance and support to the business areas within your remit on HR topics including employment law, general HR queries, recruitment, selection, onboarding of new staff, and conducting all required compliance, fitness, probity, and HR checks.
5. Hold regular people planning and recruitment meetings with internal stakeholders, including Managers and Team Leaders as appropriate.
6. Drive talent acquisition and workforce planning strategies.
7. Manage employee relations, collaborating with the leadership team and legal advisors where required.
8. Lead and manage culture and engagement initiatives such as GPTW and IMR, alongside HR colleagues and management/leaders.
9. Support DEI initiatives to foster an inclusive and diverse workforce.
HRIS Implementation
1. Lead the implementation of a new Human Resources Information System, ensuring its smooth integration with existing systems, processes, and procedures.
2. Provide training for the HR team and internal stakeholders, such as ExCo/ELT Managers, Team Leaders, and Employees, on using the system.
3. Be the first point of contact for any system evolution.
4. Oversee HR system enhancements to improve efficiency.
Reporting and Budget Management
1. Prepare submissions and manage the HR Budget in conjunction with HR Manager colleagues, ensuring alignment with Group Budgeting requirements and deadlines.
2. Engage with key stakeholders, including ExCo, ELT, and Head of People and Culture, to understand and represent business needs aligned with the strategic plan.
3. Provide regular reports, including PowerPoint presentations and appendices, for ExCo as requested.
4. Ensure HR respects, tracks, and monitors spend on approved budgets for all HR aspects, such as resourcing, payroll, pensions, training, development, projects, wellbeing, HRIS implementation, and events, in collaboration with HR Manager colleagues.
Audit and Risk
1. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and compliance/risk teams to ensure HR compliance and address audit findings or requests, including implementing new procedures.
2. Conduct regular HR audits of practices and processes to ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and risk requirements by the HR team.
