Overall purpose of the job
Installation, service, maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems including splits, VRF, close control, chillers, and DX applications. Ensure systems function efficiently, safely, and effectively across multiple sites.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under Apleona Ireland Group control.
* Service mechanical, electrical, and non-technical equipment.
* Coordinate with the service desk to respond to queries timely, ensuring SLA compliance.
* Assist subcontractors as required.
* Be a self-performing technician committed to continuous improvement.
* Complete necessary training as directed by the M&E Manager.
* Familiarize with relevant site systems to carry out duties effectively.
* Ensure service reports are signed off or submitted as needed.
* Assist with quotations and purchasing queries.
* Maintain and maximize use of CAFM system.
* Promote continuous improvement and best practices.
* Support M&E Manager with projects and churn.
* Investigate infrastructure issues and recommend remedial actions.
* Provide data for reports.
* Comply with Health and Safety and legislative requirements.
* Ensure all work adheres to current regulations.
* Follow EH&S procedures at all times.
* Report accidents or incidents promptly.
* Provide out-of-hours site coverage on a rotational basis.
* Work overtime as needed.
* Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.
Person Specification
* Capable of servicing HVAC and boiler equipment, including pumps, vessels, and control panels.
* Take ownership of assigned functions.
* Physically fit for demanding roles.
* Computer literate.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Customer-focused and team-oriented with flexibility.
Qualifications and Experience
* Refrigeration Craft qualification (F-GAS C&G 2009 CAT 1).
* Training/certification in split A/C servicing and air handling plants.
* Full driving license.
* Safepass.
* Experience with large chillers and air handling plants.
* Knowledge of AHU, ventilation, and controls.
* GID gas qualifications.
* RGI qualification and experience with boilers is advantageous.
* Post-apprenticeship experience in building services maintenance.
* Knowledge of wet systems, LPHW, and CHW plumbing.
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
