Job Summary
The Senior Product Owner for the Q-SYS Reflect application leads the definition and delivery of core operational capabilities: monitoring & management, device lifecycle management, and mass deployment features for field devices/systems (i.e., orchestrating fleet-wide firmware/configuration rollouts to Q-SYS systems and devices from within Reflect). This role is explicitly customer-obsessed—turning enterprise and integrator/MSP needs into clear roadmaps, well-groomed backlogs, and production-ready requirements and artifacts. The Sr. PO partners with Engineering, UX, Cloud/DevOps, Support/CS, and collaborates with other Reflect product owners and/or product managers (e.g., analytics, license portal) to ship coherent, high-quality outcomes. A key objective is acting as a bridge between US and India teams to improve time-zone overlap, clarity, and delivery velocity across our globally dispersed organization.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Product DevelopmentThe CPO will serve as a critical resource for the Q-SYS Developer Team, overseeing the full lifecycle of cloud application features, from concept to retirement. They will work closely with the product development leadership to validate customer requirements and set internal commitments. Key responsibilities include:Own the operational roadmap and quarterly planning for monitoring & management, device lifecycle, and mass deployment to field devices/systems (scheduling, canary/wave rollouts, retries/rollback, maintenance windows, success criteria, reporting).Run discovery (interviews, betas/PACs, usability reviews), maintain a structured customer feedback repository, and ensure traceability from insights → problems → outcomes → backlog items.Drive backlog management & grooming (intake, triage, sizing, sequencing), maintain clear Definition of Ready/Done, and write high-signal acceptance criteria.Author PRDs/SRDs, user stories, UX briefs, acceptance tests, and release notes; validate increments with customers and internal stakeholders.Lead Agile ceremonies, remove blockers, and collaborate across time zones; maintain transparent status and decision logs for follow-the-sun handoffs (US India).Product MarketingThe CPO will collaborate closely with Product Marketing Managers and Sales to enhance cross-functional engagement with Q-SYS Reflect Product Management, contributing to the effective positioning, messaging, and market success of the cloud platform. Key responsibilities include:Coordinate closely with US and international Product Marketing to align positioning, documentation, training, launches, and sales enablement for operational features.Provide crisp collateral (release notes, one-pagers, customer-facing FAQs, demo narratives) and partner on communications around scheduled device rollouts and lifecycle improvements.Feed market signals (personas, JTBD, competitive observations) into messaging and enablement plans; support internal training for Support/CS and Sales.Partner with Q-SYS Marketing to establish and reinforce cloud as a key differentiator in the market, identifying unique value propositions that set Q-SYS Reflect apart.
Preferred Skills and ExperienceBA/BS preferred3+ yrs of experience in product owner or product management role for a Cloud based platform or SaaS products.Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO))AV industry technical certifications are beneficialExperience supporting or managing cloud platforms, with familiarity in areas like cloud infrastructure, subscription services, or RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management).Proven track record of working in Agile environments, with a strong understanding of backlog management, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration in product development cycles.Deep understanding of cloud platform products and subscription models, particularly around RMM and IoT.Strong expertise in backlog management and ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable product roadmaps, epics, and stories.Highly independent and self-directedOpen to travel if/as required (including internation travel)
