Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of plant overhauls across our generation portfolio.
* Support the overhaul programme by assisting the project manager in safely and efficiently delivering the programme.
* Manage main mechanical contracts and other assigned work scopes.
* Ensure all project works comply with statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations and company standards.
* Implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for mechanical aspects in collaboration with internal Competent Persons and/or Asset Management Specialists.
* Supervise contractors' work daily, review ITP protocol sheets, and ensure work quality aligns with the Project Quality Plan.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in the power generation industry.
* Proven track record of significant experience in mechanical systems design, construction, commissioning, maintenance or operation.
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage stakeholders, to work and share knowledge within a team structure and to make quality decisions and judgments.
* Project engineering and project management skills, strong time management and prioritisation skills.
* Strong communication, report writing skills and proficient computer skills (including MS Office).
* Well versed with health, safety, construction and environment standards and procedures, including risk assessment skills.
