You will inherit an established operation, with scope to influence team structure, client engagement, and delivery strategy.Providing senior leadership for the mechanical discipline within the Derry/Londonderry officePlaying a central role in the restructuring and future direction of the local teamActing as client lead for key accounts, maintaining continuity and strengthening relationshipsEnsuring high‑quality, commercially sound delivery of mechanical projects from concept to completionReviewing and approving mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and reportsContributing to fee proposals, bids, workload forecasting, and resource planningSupporting low‑carbon, energy‑efficient, and sustainable design strategiesMentoring and developing engineers, helping to shape team capability and succession planningWorking closely with Directors and senior stakeholders to align the office with wider business objectivesWhat you'll need to succeed Degree or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services EngineeringSignificant post‑qualification experience within a building services consultancyProven experience operating at Associate Director or Director level, or ready to step into that roleStrong technical background combined with commercial and people‑leadership capabilityExperience managing client relationships and contributing to work‑winningIn‑depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and best practiceConfident, credible communicator with the authority to lead through changeProficiency in Revit and familiarity with tools such as IES (desirable)What you'll get in returnThis is a senior leadership role within an established office entering a new phase, offering genuine influence over structure, delivery, and team development.
