Head of Finance Position Summary
This is a senior financial leadership role that requires strategic thinking, technical expertise and exceptional communication skills.
Job Description:
* Provide financial guidance to the senior management team and ensure effective budgeting and forecasting processes are in place.
* Liaise with external stakeholders including banks and financial institutions to manage cash flow and capital requirements.
* Develop and implement financial models to support business growth and profitability.
* Lead commercial discipline in tendering, project pricing and large contract negotiations.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in financial management and leadership, preferably within a professional services company. They will possess strong analytical skills, be comfortable operating at board level and have a proven track record of driving business growth through financial strategy and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts and models to inform business decision-making.
* Cash Flow and Capital Management: Manage cash flow and capital requirements to ensure efficient use of resources.
* Commercial Discipline: Lead commercial discipline in tendering, project pricing and large contract negotiations.
* Team Leadership and Development: Foster a high-performance culture by leading, developing and mentoring the finance team.
Requirements:
* Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience (with a minimum of 5 years in senior finance roles).
* Background in professional services company is desirable.
* Extensive commercial awareness with demonstrated experience shaping financial strategy, driving commercial performance and executing business strategies across multiple regions.
* Demonstrated success in building, developing and leading high-performing teams.
