We are seeking a highly‑motivated senior occupational therapist to join our team in CDNT 2 Ballyboden and CDNT 7 Tymon CHO.
Contract Details
 * Contract type: Permanent
 * Hours: 0.5 WTE (17.5 hours) per CDNT or 35 hours full time
 * Salary: €59,662 – €70,624 per annum pro rata
 * Annual leave: 33 days pro rata (proportionally less for less than 12 months service)
Overview of the Post
Deliver child and adolescent occupational therapy services (0‑18 years) within an interdisciplinary framework, including assessment, intervention, clinical supervision, and ongoing service development across clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes, and community settings.
Responsibilities
 * Provide assessment and intervention to young people and families in a family‑centred approach.
 * Deliver services across a variety of settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
 * Supervise and support junior therapists and students.
 * Maintain statutory registration and carry out annual registration renewal with CORU.
 * Prescribe and monitor equipment based on individual needs.
 * Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and continuous professional development.
Essential Criteria
 * Registered, or eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by CORU.
 * Minimum of three years full‑time post‑qualification clinical experience.
 * Demonstrated professional ability to discharge the duties of the role with high suitability.
 * Full driving licence with access to own transport.
 * Eligibility to work in the state.
Desirable Criteria
 * Relevant post‑graduate training specific to paediatric OT (e.g., sensory integration, assistive technology, upper‑limb management of tone, feeding, postural management).
 * Experience in assessment and intervention for children with autism.
 * Experience supervising basic‑grade occupational therapists and/or students.
 * Minimum of two years working in paediatric services with children with a range of disabilities and/or complex needs.
 * Experience conducting Assessment of Needs assessments.
