Fixed term whole time post (duration to 31st July 2030)
UCC wishes to appoint Lecturers in Paramedicine within the School of Medicine. These posts will be pivotal in the development of Paramedical Science within the University and in the delivery of core academic and clinical syllabi.
Applicants should demonstrate broad-based experience in teaching and research at a third-level academic institution. They should be enthusiastic, creative, and have a vision to contribute to the further development of paramedic practice in Ireland. The role offers an exceptional opportunity for suitably qualified persons to play a key role in delivering a Paramedicine degree and supporting research in this area. Appointees will contribute to the development, delivery and quality assurance of teaching and research programmes in Paramedicine at UCC.
Responsibilities
Deliver excellence in university-level teaching.
Demonstrate an understanding of blended learning and educational platforms such as Canvas.
Develop and manage curriculum and projects, integrating with other disciplines.
Show leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
Broad-based experience in teaching and research at a third-level institution.
Experience with blended learning, Canvas or similar platforms.
Curriculum development and project management experience.
Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Leadership and communication abilities.
Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.
Appointments may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale: €79,976 - €103,575 (Scale B) / €76,091 - €98,394 (Scale A). Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
