The Inventory Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse operations by supporting receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to health and safety standards, and meeting timely order fulfillment targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming deliveries.
* Store goods in designated locations, ensuring organized and accessible items.
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to company procedures.
* Assist with regular stock checks and inventory counts to maintain accuracy.
* Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and responsibly.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with health and safety regulations.
* Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards to supervisors.
* Support the warehouse team with general tasks and collaborate to meet daily targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment is preferred but not required.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* Basic numeracy and attention to detail for accurate inventory handling.
* Physically fit and able to lift and move goods as required.
* Willingness to learn and operate warehouse equipment (training provided).
