Job Description
Director, Full Stack Engineering. High Income and Alternatives Investment Technology
The High Income and Alternatives Technology team manages and develops a technology platform supporting our high yield investment team with over $100B of client assets in US high yield debt, emerging market debt, and a growing list of high yield alternative credit products.
As an HI & A Technology Chapter Leader, you blend engineering solutions, standards, and practices with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. You are deeply committed to improving the value and quality delivered to our customers, focusing on maintainability and stability.
In an agile structure, you will collaborate with other leaders to establish standards for your chapter, influence strategic decisions, and build solutions with your expertise and technical knowledge. You will directly manage several engineers working within autonomous squads across a product area but reporting directly to you. You are dedicated to helping them grow and develop in their technical and business knowledge and ensuring alignment on the "how" of their work. You are committed to developing your own expertise to empower others with that knowledge.
You will also spend time applying your expertise to help advance work and improve squad performance, ensuring high quality and engineering standards.
The Teams
You work in partnership with Chapter Area Leads, Squad Leads, and other Chapter Leaders aligned to Asset Management High Income and Alternatives Technology Areas to ensure consistent standards and quality.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s or higher degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science)
15+ years of industry experience with proven technology leadership and 5+ years of people management experience
Experience in designing and building highly scalable software solutions
Expertise in engineering methodologies in mid-tier and UI development
Strong awareness of data tier development
Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing teams
Experience in talent acquisition, resource planning, and talent allocation in large organizations
Financial services experience is preferred but not required
