About the role
We are currently seeking a Golf Services Assistant to join our Golf Services Team at The K Club, a unique resort located in the lush Irish countryside, just a short distance from Dublin. This role involves assisting guests and members, maintaining club facilities, and supporting the Golf Operations Team.
Responsibilities
Meet and greet guests and members, offer suggestions and upsell where possible.
Be fully aware of daily functions and individual arrivals.
Ensure parking areas are tidy and the areas around the lodge and Palmer Ryder Cup Course are maintained.
Oversee and maintain range facilities.
Maintain and clean locker rooms (Visitors & Members) and keep toiletries stocked.
Assist in preparation for Golf Groups in conjunction with function sheets, including directional signs on the course, front gate, and ensuring the team has read the daily function sheet.
Assist the golf shop team with guest guidance for facilities: locker rooms, range, snack bar, pro shop, etc.
Assist in weekly stocktaking of golf clubs and compile a report for the Golf Operations Manager.
Set up buggies for clients with tees, pencils, towels, scorecards; ensure all buggy stock is accounted for daily and report faults or damage.
Ensure pull trolleys and electric trolleys are clean and batteries are charged.
Maintain tidiness of corridors, steward area, and keep bins around the clubhouse empty.
Maintain and clean K Club ladies and gents member golf bags.
Handle all check‑ins professionally, efficiently and courteously; assist guests with any information or requests.
Actively sell Golf Shop merchandise to guests and members, demonstrating thorough knowledge of clothing lines and equipment.
Ensure guests are aware of surroundings and on time for tee times; liaise with starter and ranger for smooth operations.
Ensure all green fees, pro shop and other revenue dockets are charged to appropriate accounts and up to date on checkout.
Maintain shop inventory with correct sizes and colours.
Store and sanitise buggies correctly and tag once complete after each use; keep gangways clear for electric trolleys.
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience working in Golf Services.
Experience within a 5* environment is advantageous.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Fluency in English, both oral and written.
Flexibility in working hours.
