Job TitleEnvironmental ConsultantLocationCavan, Hybrid & Flexible (Ireland-based)Job PurposeThe Environmental Consultant will support the integration of environmental software solutions and managed services (environmental consultancy, project management, asset tagging, IoT, etc.) with client systems and processes from initial engagement through to implementation. The Environmental Consultant will contribute to environmental projects, assist with regulatory assessments, and support senior staff in delivering high-quality environmental services. This role includes site work, report preparation, and client interaction.Key ResponsibilitiesProject SupportSupporting environmental projects from inception to completion, including site investigations, data collection, and assisting with risk assessments.Technical SupportAssisting with environmental regulations, impact assessments (e.g., EIAs), and permitting processes.Report PreparationSupporting the preparation of environmental documents such as EIARs, EIA Screening Reports, and Resource and Waste Management Plans.Client and Stakeholder SupportAssisting in liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.Team CollaborationWorking closely with senior consultants and contributing to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.Business SupportAssisting with proposal preparation and supporting client relationship activities.Compliance and PermittingSupporting compliance with environmental regulations and assisting with permit applications.Environmental AuditsAssisting with environmental, health, and safety compliance audits.Travel and RepresentationAttending client meetings and site visits as required across Ireland and the UK.Key CompetenciesTechnical Knowledge: Understanding of environmental regulations and impact assessments.Organisation: Ability to manage workload and support multiple projects.Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication.Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking and willingness to learn.Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.Client Awareness: Understanding of client needs and expectations.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.3–5 years’ experience working in the environmental sector.Experience supporting environmental consultancy projects.Familiarity with environmental assessments and compliance processes.Membership of relevant professional bodies such as CIWEM, IEMA, or similar is desirable.Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel to client sites as required.Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Full driving licence with eligibility to drive in Ireland.Why JoinBe part of an organisation committed to environmental and social responsibility.Work with experienced professionals in a supportive environment.Opportunity for career development and progression.Competitive salary and benefits package.
