As a Commercial Underwriter, you will play a key role in underwriting commercial multi-line property and liability business. You will work alongside and develop relationships with broker partners and sales colleagues to achieve our client's growth targets and profitability objectives.
Responsibilities
* Underwrite commercial business.
* Actively contribute to the successful growth and development of the Commercial Lines business.
* Maintain underwriting discipline through ongoing monitoring of selection criteria and use of variable pricing tools.
* Manage referrals and queries within underwriting authority and adhere to guidelines.
* Collaborate with team members and colleagues from other departments to provide excellent service to our customers.
* Help develop and implement product strategies and participate in reviewing the performance of selected business lines.
Requirements
* Experience:Minimum of 5 years in commercial underwriting for property and liability classes.
Strong technical understanding of insurance products and underwriting principles.
Pragmatic decision-making skills with solid underwriting assessment capabilities.
Quality-focused with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build effective working relationships.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to develop knowledge and experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and underwriting applications.
